Workflow Optimization

While supporting a team managing 2,500 professional development resources, I noticed the workflow was disorganized and email-dependent. Although it wasn’t officially my role to fix it, I offered thoughtful, respectful suggestions that were well received and ultimately adopted.

  • Gentle Leadership: Initiated improvements with care and collaboration, ensuring the team felt supported.

  • Organized File System: Introduced a consistent naming convention and centralized folders for workflow and source files.

  • Custom Excel Tracker: Built an Excel tracker to monitor resource status, assign tasks, and surface key data.

  • MS Planner Integration: Encouraged lightweight project management tools to streamline communication.

  • The new workflow reduced confusion, improved collaboration, and cut turnaround times.

  • It also gave the team a sustainable system for managing updates with confidence.

While I don’t have supporting visuals for this project, I’d love to share the story behind it.
